The 2016 Economic Empowerment Summit is a collaboration between the 100 Black Men of San Antonio, St. Philip's College, and the Army 5th Recruiting Brigade ROTC. The summit focuses on economically empowering youth, particularly those youth from economically impoverished communities. The 2016 event is scheduled for February 27, 2016 and is held on the campus of St. Philip's College. The event runs from 8:15 am until 3:00 pm. The event is open to the public. Preregistration is strongly encouraged as space is limited to 250 youth and chaperones. See link to the left for where attendees may preregister. This is a free event and breakfast and lunch will be provided for attendees. Economic Workshops include: STEM Education, Financial Literacy, Entrepreneurship, Workforce Development, and How to get College Scholarships. The U.S. Army will provide a 45 minute presentation on the benefits of an Army ROTC sponsored education and career.
