The primary purpose of the Collegiate 100® program is to provide an avenue for 100 Black Men of San Antonio to continue their one-on-one and group mentoring to students as they matriculate from high school to college; thereby supporting the Mentoring The 100 Way® Across a Lifetime™ initiatives.
Members of the Collegiate 100® campus-based student organization also assist the local 100 Black Men as appropriate, with its programmatic initiatives that support the development of social, emotional, and educational needs of youth who need positive role models in the communities in which they live. The Collegiate 100®program is not designed to, nor will it be permitted to operate as, as an autonomous, separate group that operates independently from the 100 Black Men of San Antonio. The Collegiate 100® program has an important role to play on the college campus. The effective execution of that role requires that the Collegiate 100® program be a responsible, productive, and cooperative segment of the 100 Black Men of San Antonio Chapter and an active student organization on the college campus and in the local community. |
The Collegiate 100® program is not fraternal in nature and does not include nor permit the process of pledging or hazing to gain affiliation or membership. Rather, the Collegiate 100® adds value by serving as a core of service volunteers to help carry out the mission of the 100 Black Men of America, Inc. Membership into the Collegiate 100® student organization on the college campus must align with university guidelines for student organizations as well as the protocols and procedures of established by 100 Black men of America, Inc.
