Health and Wellness
100 Black Men of San Antonio, Inc. health and wellness goals are to raise awareness, provide access to health care and health information that will ultimately promote behavior change resulting in a healthier lifestyle. The organization’s Health & Wellness Committee provides leadership to the chapters as they establish health & wellness committees at the local level. Through civic and corporate partnerships, the 100 Black Men of San Antonio, Inc. delivers health education programs and free health screenings in hundreds of communities annually. Economic Development
100 Black Men of San Antonio, Inc. considers economic empowerment as a necessary step toward creating a just society, not only here in the United States, but for black people around the world. The 100 Black Men of San Antonio, Inc. defines economic empowerment as the ability to be self-determined in creating dreams, pursuing them and ultimately perpetuating them by establishing the mechanisms to sustain generational wealth. Our program initiatives promote generational economic self-sufficiency through financial literacy, family wealth building and entrepreneurship. Current programs include:

Mentoring
The 100 Black Men of San Antonio, Inc. mentors youth through a worldwide network of chapters. Across the United States and Internationally, 100 Black Men of San Antonio, Inc. and 100 Black Men International are positively impacting the lives of tomorrow’s leaders through the 100’s signature programs such as Mentoring the 100 Way and Collegiate 100®. Chapters also deliver unique, innovative mentoring initiatives that are locally relevant and that change the lives of tens of thousands of youth annually.
The San Antonio Municipal Court Truancy Mentoring program is a collaborative effort between the city of San Antonio and the 100 Black Men to help at risk youth become successful citizens. The program involves incorporating each to the 100 Black Men’s programmatic mentoring initiatives – Education, Economic Empowerment, Health & Wellness, Leadership Development – into an eight to ten-week mentoring class. Youth are coached in self-awareness, leadership, academic success, healthy living, and economic empowerment life lessons.
MENTORING is the cornerstone of 100 Black Men of America, Inc. (The 100) and our network of over 100 Chapters. The social, cultural, emotional, and unique needs of youth, primarily African American males, are addressed through one-to-one and group mentoring relationships by 100 Black Men chapter members. Committed to our cause, our members serve as positive role models, advocates, and trusted advisors to children and young adults, including the Collegiate 100® of St. Philip’s College. The 100’s signature mentoring program is an effective, evidenced-based and strategic intervention that helps youth reach their full potential and become contributing members of society. The miracles of mentoring impact hundreds of youth throughout the city annually.
Mentoring the 100 Way Across a Lifetime®, sustained mentor relationships of at least a school year and often over multiple years, can happen at all stages of a mentee’s life, including college and beyond. The unique, innovative mentoring initiatives of our Chapters are locally relevant and vary by affiliate. Our volunteer members are comprised of servant leaders and professionals from diverse sectors and backgrounds who truly believe in our motto, “What They See Is What They’ll Be®.” As the lives of our mentees are transformed through our mentoring model, so are the lives of mentors who serve them.
Our innovative
Online Mentor Training and interactive Virtual Mentee Curriculum are proprietary web-based tools available only to 100 Black Men Chapter members, mentees and their authorized network of volunteers, Collegiate 100® and Emerging 100® members. Both tools are password protected and unauthorized use is strictly prohibited. Upon satisfactory completion of the five-module Online Mentor Training program, Certificates of Completion are issued by Headquarters. The five-module Mentee Curriculum has student pre- and post-tests, S.M.A.R.T. goals exercises, as well as Mentor Guides for each module to assist facilitators with the lessons and corresponding activities

The 100 Black Men of America, Inc. works with corporate sponsors to deliver educational support services and unique learning opportunities that assist youth in achieving their educational goals. The 100’s education initiatives inspire confidence, create cultural awareness and foster academic leadership.
100 Scholarship Program
The 100 Black Men of San Antonio, Inc. provides annual scholarship awards to deserving matriculating students who will be full-time students at accredited, post-secondary institutions based on 100 Black Men of America, Inc. eligibility criteria. Scholarship dollars assist youth in completing educational goals by providing resources to offset expenses associated with tuition, books and housing. The scholarship program allows the 100 to identify potential youth leaders in our local communities and motivates them to achieve academic and community service excellence.
The scholarship application period is open between February 1st to April 15th.
