I’m proud and humbled to have recently been elected to serve as president of this amazing organization. Started by a group of outstanding pioneers in 1983, the San Antonio chapter of the 100 Black Men of America has had it challenges but has steadily grown in influence over the years, and now serves this community with great honor and dignity. We are an organization that is just beginning to make its mark. As we begin 2017, I am excited about the revised support structure that we have put into place and the ability that having Dr.
Milton Harris serving as the Executive Director for our organization will bring. As we continue to focus the organization on the growth and its ability to better support the community, creating this staff position will be a major contributing factor to the organizations success. The core motivation of our organization is to explore ways of improving conditions in our community and it is very important to always remember. We are role models in what we are doing and we should stand proud knowing that we stand together for others. Thank you for your commitment to providing support to the young men of color in the San Antonio community. It is important that every member continuously be on the lookout for the member of the 100 Black Men of San Antonio. So, from myself, Board of Directors and great staff, thank you for your membership and support. We promise to keep evolving to serve you, no matter what the new normal brings in 2017. |
